Noob fan installation

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to determine fan air flow direction BEFORE you install and connect power?

In addition to the comment above, the side with the framing is normally the side that the air exits from.

Usually the flow goes towards the side that has inner frame support. The inner frame support side, besides having the frame support also usually is where the cable in connected, plus a sticker with fan description(model #, voltage, certifications).

The side of the fan with the motor mount braces is the exhaust side.
