I think the click latency thingy can be overrated and overvalued at times. There are a few mice where it's so atrocious that you'll actually notice (15ms-20ms on the original Mionix Castor). But I've aimed and played far better with non-Logitech mice despite their superior click latency claims. I've had no problems playing well with my EC2-A and EC2-B where it just comes down to practice and reaction time in whatever game of you choice you play.

Been using it for a few days, and I have to say it's the EC1-B I've been wanting from the start.

This version has fixed all of the issues I've had with the other one.
I also have replaced the cable with a paracord, and put the Gloss White top on it as well.

If I am to give it a score now, it'll be a 9/10, and my "Final Mouse".
I'm done looking for a new mouse now.

If others want to replace the top of the ECx-B with a White Gloss, you don't have the take out the "triangle" part.
The reason you can't activate M4/5, is that you're tightening the screw too much, and the mechanism won't release.

When you tighten the screw, just enough for the mechanism to release, your side buttons will have SOOO much less pre-travel.
I'm able to use M4 for Melee again in OW. Just a quick tap of the button is all I need to activate it.
Unlike before, where I would have to press it in all the way.

I forgot to add, this version's DPI is pretty much on point.
400 is 400, 800 is 799, and 1600 is 1600.

Im glad your 2nd one fixed most (if all) of the issues you had before. Im on the same boat as you and I paid for the ridiculous shipping fee... I hope my ec2-b arrives without any problems like you had. How long did it take for you to get yours? I also did the express air shipping to canada. Thanks smile.gif

4 business days.
Shipped Wednesday and arrived on Monday.

I take this occasion to remind many people about human error and to not get over confident about these kind of measurements (SRAV included).

Well I don't know what to tell you.
I've been measuring the DPI on my mice for years now, always using the same process.
It's always worked flawlessly.

I'm happy so that's what matters to me.

My 2 cents.

I get triggered every time I see someone use their mousepad upside down or side ways. My OCD lol. Sexy mouse though smile.gif

I swapped my gloss shell onto my EC2-B and pretty much what nodicaL said is true. I didn't need to take out the triangle part inside. Just don't tighten the screw too much and both M4/M5 will work just fine. My only problem now is figuring out if I should use the EC1-B Glossy or EC2-B Glossy. They both feel good in my 20cm hands. EC1 might feel slightly more comfortable. Probably going to buy a EC1-B now and swap my EC1-A Glossy shell onto it.

I own old non-Benq EC-2A and as some people said, for the price EC2-B is bad QC wise.

  • Mouse1 has some kind of pretravel to the point I am unable to spam it comfortably (Mouse1 on my EC2-A is crisp and without this issue)
  • Mouse2 is fine
  • Mouse3 is fine
  • Mouse4 has standard EC pretravel
  • Mouse5 feels like there is no pretravel (much better than on my EC2-A)
  • Scroll wheel just feels bad. It has distinguishable notches, but feel cheep, light, it is loud and sounds like it would break in a second.
  • Coating is OK, but I prefer non-Benq EC2-A coating
  • Sensor is obviously a good part of this story. Nothing to complain about.
  • Feet are OK, but I prefer big hyperglides on my EC2-A which I think give me better control over the mouse due to higher friction.

While I can live with different feet, I will probably return the mouse due to weird Mouse1 and in my opinion a terrible scroll wheel.

I only flipped it upside down because I had to test my DPI before going to a LAN.
New mouse feet wears a bit, and changes the DPI.

I rma'd my first EC2-B due to the loud whiny noise and the post travel on m1. A replacement is on its way to me. And it is supposed to be a hand picked one without the issues. The tech support told me that not all of the B series have those issues and that they are on it to fix it in the next batch.

As far as buttons go till the next batch comes out, i guess you have to get lucky to get one with good buttons. I guess i will see when i receive my new EC2-B.
