So I've been out the game for a while and haven't overclocked since owning my 3770k.
It's the first time I've touched my 6700k and I'm getting unusual results.
I'm running an EVGA Z170 Stinger.
I got my multiplier up to 48 (with a base clock of 100) and my Vcore on Override at 1.350v.
A stability test using Aida64 and Real Bench ran fine.
While running the tests CPU-Z, HWMonitor, Aida all show 4.8GHz at 0.936v.
So despite setting the target voltage at 1.35 in BIOS, the CPU is only being delivered 0.9v (according to these programs).
I've tried pushing to 4.9GHz but I can't get it stable below 1.4v (set in the BIOS) and don't want to push it any further without figuring out whats going on.
See screenshot attached.
Any ideas please? I've generally considered CPU-Z and all the other monitoring apps to be a accurate representation but now I have no clue what's going on.
Sorry if this has been asked before.
