Hi Everyone,

So basically my pc was dropped! yes dropped!

Since then I was not able to get it to boot until last night. I have unplugged everything and plugged it back in and reset the bios. I also removed my video card and am using the iGPU to eliminate possible issues with hardware.

So now when I start it it shows me the error that there is no bootable media. I can reboot a bunch of times and then end up getting into windows. It was unbelievably slow when I got into windows and I noticed my drive utilization was at 100% (this was a secondary mechanical drive) so I rebooted and got back into windows and the secondary drive was no longer visible.

I have since not been able to boot it again... to me it looks like there might be an issue with the SATA ports/controller, I have tried all of the ports but with the same result.

Before I hunt high and low for a replacement mobo is there anything else I can do to confirm what the issue is?

I did think that but the OS drive is a SSD so didnt think that would break so easily. I am going to try to boot off a USB tonight and see whats going on

I cant get it to boot into windows but I have just tried to recover windows using bootable USB. That did not work however, it is letting me re install windows so I am giving that a go. Could it be that something bad happened to windows on last shutdown? seams unlikely to me... I will report back soon when the install finishes.
