Currently using a Corsair H100i V2 with custom fans. The pump has started making a whining noise, something that happened in a past Corsair unit (an original H100) which ultimately led to the pump dying.
I need to get a replacement and simply don't have the time to set up and maintain a custom loop. I travel extensively for work and when I come home, I just want to jump on the PC and game for a couple of hours or do some work.
I need something I can install and have up and running in short order.
Currently running my 8700K at 4.7 at 1.21 vcore. The temps under 8 hours of OCCT top out at 72C across all cores which is fine. However, if I can get an AIO that performs better that would be a good thing.
Currently using a Corsair 450D case, not much room up top beyond what is in there now. I might be able to squeeze in a triple rad but not sure.
So, recommendations? Unlimited budget, looking for reliability, and performance at least on par with what I am currently using. Noise isn't really a factor, I built a wood casing for my tower that decreases the noise profile significantly.
I've read that the EK AIO's had major leak issues and seem to be discontinued. The Swiftech, I had 3 pumps burn off and swore off them (one of which killed my motherboard) but perhaps they have improved?
I've been impressed with my Swiftech units - they are basically a custom loop that's been CLC'd. I haven't killed a motherboard with one though. They do sometimes have junk that needs to be flushed from them when new, so that's not really the level of drop it in and forget it you're looking for (although if you can flush them the first time they are sweet).
If you can fit a 360mm unit in your case, I would say that's going to be your best bet. It looks like the 450D can handle a 360 in the top of the case as long as you are okay with giving up the 5.25 drive bays. Any modern Asetek based unit will perform similarly (NZXT, Corsair, EVGA) as long as they are all 360mm. Barring that a 280mm unit will give you a bit more surface area than a 240mm will as long as you are happy with the 140mm fans on the market.
Thanks for the feedback. I may consider going back into a Swiftech unit. The asetek units have been hit or miss with me over the years.
I particularly like the looks of the swiftech H320 Prestige X2 except I cannot find anywhere in Canada that has it in stock. Both NCIX and Newegg have been out of stock for months.
I actually found a Swiftech H320 X2 Prestige through the US (still trying to figure out if they will ship here). I was planning on changing cases to the Corsair 750D airflow edition (room for push pull triple rad up top with ease) as the 450D is very restrictive and cannot use a triple rad due to the non removable tiny 5.25" bay frame.
A really good AIO is the Enermax Liqmax ii 240. I write reviews here on OCN, and am the industry ambassador for the site. I will link you to the page for that unit. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit and it performs very well for the price. It doesn't require any flashy software and is very easy to set up and had a huge advantage with its TDP rating. Another honorable mention is a CoolerMaster AIO. I really enjoy the MasterLiquid series, not too much of a fan of the PRO, but the Master Liquid lite 240 is fantastic. They even have a new RGB version.

I have a 750D and can confirm it's quite roomy. The H320X won't allow for push pull, but it's performance is good enough that it should beat any asetek based unit in push only or pull only configuration.
I don't think swiftech has discontinued the 320X, they just only seem to make them in batches. I guess it's hard to get traction when all of the asetek based units are so heavily marketed.
Since you aren't planning on upgrading to a bigger loop, if you buy the H320X I would be interested in buying the expansion fitting adapter that comes with the X series from you if you're willing to part with it. My non-X 140's never came with it and it's out of production.

I've considered in many times over the years. Problem is, I have very little time to tinker, I upgrade frequently (as in every 8-10 months), and I travel a great deal for work. When I"m home, I just want to sit down and game a bit.

Performance PC's has it in stock and will ship to Canada. I am going to check if it's going to cost me a kidney to get it sent here. If not, I'll order it and once I get it, I'll shoot the you mounting.
Thanks. I'm trying to stay clear of the Asetek pumps. I have the know how to build a custom loop, I did a couple in the past. I just don't have the time to install, test, etc. Plug and play is the way to go for me. I would have jumped on the EK AIO, except I had one and it leaked... And NCIX would not honor the warranty on it (I won't buy from them any longer) despite EK having multiple claims of leaks with the AIO series that led to them discontinuing it.
I had two Swiftech units in the past that had the pumps die (one of which took out my motherboard and CPU...) but pickings are slim in AIO setups.
I finally got all my upgrades done this weekend in terms of space, new enclosure for my desk and moved to a Corsair 750D case to make room for a 360 rad.
Now it's decision time. I can get the Swiftech H320X shipped to Canada and it will fit easily in the new case. I may end up going that route.
The swiftech is in a class of it's own as far as performance. If your current unit can limp along a bit longer, you might be able to get an EK CLC, I heard rumors they are looking to release a new one.
I used to rock with AIO but after going custom loop it is very hard to go back to an AIO. So if pumps have caused you problems before I can suggest my version of an AIO lol
Looks like I am going to grab the Swiftech H240x2 Prestige. I was considering the triple rad version but do use the 5.25 fan bay for a fan controller for all of the case fans and I am pretty sure it will not fit. Not to mention the right side of the Swiftech is quite deep, Not even positive it would fit in the 5.25 bay with it empty.
Someone suggested emptying the rad and flushing before use. Is this really necessary? I read every review I could find on this unit and they were uniformly positive (except some people complained that the LED's on the rad went out after awhile, I do not care about that as my case is completely enclosed).
Not to mention, the 320 prestige unit seems to be sold out everywhere...

Good luck with it. It's technically an AIO (but not really) so there is no need to flush it but keep an eye on the coolant and for leaks as well in the first few weeks of operations.
Let us know what you think of it after a few weeks of usage.
