I'm sure that it will be because that part of the motherboard tray looks identical to the old one except for the holes for vertical mounting smile.gif

Wow I was just plotting my new build and decided to stop by.. I love my old sma8 but I've reworked and chopped it so many times, it will be nice to have something new to work on. Any chance that you guys can Chrome the interior for me?

Oh..
And maybe add support for 560 rads on top and front while keeping support in the basement..
I would hate to have to chop my new case up again to fit these things.

Hhhmmm..
Being able to mount the power supply in the very center of the basement compartment would be a huge Plus😊 am I asking too much?

There's more : ) I will try and post some more today, if not, then not until Monday.

I’m curious about the riser cable being used for the vertical mounts...hesitant only because I had to go through three of them with Thermaltake. Hopefully quality control will be better with CL? 😁

We ran benchmarks with our cables and saw no loss in performance. In the event you end up with a bad cable we would be happy to replace it thumb.gif

Of course there's always the user that will have to choose between using them or pcie slots, but that's the nature of the beast. And while pcie slot usage can be minimized in a lot of instances today, there'll always be that special use case.

Here's the mid-plate artwork I just submitted to my water jet cutter for the purpose (no hints about where the video cards will be mounted, and the two squarish holes on the right are provisions for two Aqualis 880Xts):
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

This one's already been scrapped for something different:

Thanks! Very cool! We will make the standard backplate available so end users can still swap between them if they want to rebuild.

No, sorry it didn't, but now I feel slow haha.

The rear backplate is interchangeable with any 8-slot MAGNUM case! I'm pretty sure the cable mgt. backplate will work on any MAGNUM 8-slot case too, but I'm not 100% on that. For the SMA8 yes, but the older M8 cases might be a problem. I just can't remember if we even changed the mb tray opening at the back over the years. @Jim-CL? My concern is the stand-offs hitting the frame on the way out

Sorry a chrome interior would be cool, but you would need to find a plating service to do that. The SMA8-A still only mounts a 480 up top. A 560 "fits", but it doesn't work well enough for us to offer it as a finished product. To mount a 560 in the bottom, front and top we would have to make the case much bigger unfortunately.

We did offer a mount to do that a while back, but discontinued it sadsmiley.gif

If you currently have a cover plate with 5 screws (early ones had 4), the new cable management version should work.

OK how about just slapping 2 SMA8 together side by side?
Not like the TX10 or the THW10, as the TX10 was way too tall and the THW10 has no mid plate and no basement and the ceiling is a bit too high.
simply take 2 SMA8 and put them side by side with dual power supply support in the rear compartment in the same spot as with the THW10..?
I've outgrown my SMA8 sadsmiley.gifsadsmiley.gif i tried installing a extra SSD last weekend and could not find an empty surface anywhere in over or under my case..
i actual considered using m3 tape to stack 3 extra SSD to the 3 Samsung in front.

This is why I bought into Caselabs to begin with! Love and Support for older products! Something rare for companies.

Do it!! Do one standard and one reverse. Like a SMA8-A / TX10 hybrid thumb.gif There is always the Pedestal option for more room as well.
