Unplugging the mouse when not in use is not a fix for this, it is a work around for a hardware issue. Zowie needs to look into this, I will try and contact them maybe push them to look at this thread if possible

How loud is it? I know very little about gaming mice, but this seems very odd.

Well, sounds like a EE component resonating smile.gif. Stuff happens, should be found during testing tho.

So is this on virtually every ec2-b? I may cancel my order, it hasn't shipped yet.

Just got mine from amazon, it has the noise as well. It's not too noticeable but when you put your ear near the sensor there is definitely a sound coming out of it.

Mines has a it too, but I had to put the mouse next to my ear to hear it. At night when it's quiet I can't hear it.

Does this happen when the PC is off?

My laptop mouse MX Anywhere / G303 / G403 all have the same whine. I can only hear it when I put the sensor close to my ear.... so don't worry.

EDIT: After reading more replies, is it true that the sound stops once you unplug it?

It does make the noise 24/7, regardless of load and settings. I already said this but on mine I can hear it audibly at a sitting distance and it gets super annoying. Others have said they can only hear it when their ear is next to the sensor.
