lol i only just found this out. i have to have everything muted, mouse sensor digging into my ear for me to be able to hear it. in actual use i cant hear the whine (sound a lot like when i had interference on my front headphone port jack). is the ec2-b noise louder than g403? can you hear it with the mouse on the mouse pad?

BenQ gave me a reply, here's their response:
We can do a replacement for the mouse also yes its very new and might want to keep an eye on any news for a possible revision if this issue becomes wider.

I just got a unit but haven't had time to use it. I'll check for this noise. Although I'm certain with several 336x mice if I put my ear directly up to it you can hear some sort of noise. Honestly I have so much noise coming out of my PC I probably wouldn't notice but I'll double check

Time for a tune-up. Lol

This also happens with all the new XB1 controllers. If you plug it in and put the bottom port of the controller to your ear, you can hear it. And if you use it via bluetooth, it's super loud. It's pretty common.

BenQ can't change the coating of their mouse revisions but they can add audio to them

Ok after plugging in the new mouse I can definitely hear the noise if I put my ear up to it. It's a consistent low pitch buzzing. Other than that the mouse feels like an improvement in most areas compared to the ec1a. I do however think the buzz is a legitimate issue that will have to eventually be dealt with

Just made a discovery

My mouse makes the noise only when it's on the mousepad, if I lift the mouse in the air the sound goes away completely. Put it back on the mousepad and the noise returns.. any ideas? I reported it to one of the zowie guys too! Otherwise enjoying the unit, how about you guys?

That's because the noise goes away when you move the sensor, but comes back after a couple seconds of inactivity. I can hear mine through the mousepad sitting at my desk unfortunately.
