Rockit 99 Delidder Product Page

Hey guys!

Today I bring you another masterpiece from Rockit! First, they were kind enough to send me their 88 Delidder while it was in BETA (and called Rocket instead of Rockit), which I've used many times from all CPUs between 6600K and 8700K. Now, with the 99, we're delidding the now unsoldered HEDT chips. (88 Delidder review) In the package now, they include the relidder, toothpick think for removing the black adhesive, which I find works really, really well and the delidder itself.

The delidder is so straight forward that just by the pictures, you can see how it's used. I use this delidder so far for a 7640X and 7900X. One thing to note, the 7640X uses a different integrated heat spreader (IHS) so be sure to shoot them an email before to get the right relidder. I used to one included anyways and adjusted before gluing the IHS back.

Anyways, here are the delidding pictures of the 7900X. I'd easily give this product a 5/5 stars for the simple fast that the $40 or so invested in this, will net you more of a temperature drop than anything else.

These are very effective cpu delidders I own two from these guys one that I used for my i7 6700k and i5 6600k and the other I just got for the X299 chip set. There well worth the money it's saved me money in the end buy not having to risk the chance of killing a cpu using a razor blade which had happen to me in the past ohno-smiley.gif

To get more of the black sealant off, I ended up using a plastic razor blade. If you've never heard of them, they're amazing for working with sensitive materials.

okay yea I never really knew that. oh well to late now it was a very expensive lesson to learn at the time when you don't have a proper delidding tool but the best lessons in life are the ones you learn the hard way sadly. Good to know for the people that don't own these delidding tools

same here, i got in on one of the posts on hwbot where you paid to help fund the project and got a delid tool and sent mine to dj on the team. Later he sent it back but i had bought the kits for some other chips.. Great tools for the tool box. I have a epic fail in my past that i call chizel mc dizel.. other than that no comment ;> hehe put up my tools for a while after that fiasco hehe.
