If you're getting over 100 FPS at 4K, you're already in Fast Sync territory for 60 Hz. Yes, it's not the magical 2x or more figure that everyone parrots, but you should try it. You'll get rid of tearing with no drawbacks.

That is a new low for PC gaming, you need a $3k card to run a game with graphics from 2007.

coming from an 8k user who used 5k in the past you need multiple video cards if you are trying to push anything over 4k right now and pubg is unoptimized pos right now so if it supports sli 3 cards should do it I don't even understand why people are buying pubg right now its still in early access wait until its finished

Well, 5K is almost 15 million pixels, or almost twice the demand of 4K. 5K 60 Hz is a similar demand to 4K at 120 Hz, so not exactly easy stuff to drive here...

For a Titan V to be able to run PUBG at that solo is pretty impressive.

It's been early access since March, and people buy it anyway, mostly because it offers experiences and game modes no other game ever released does. Though, with the imminent launch of version 1.0, which will integrate all of the performance updates of test server, it's only going to get better.

But this thread full of people "approving or disapproving" of other peoples purchases is quite laughable. The V is by far the fastest gaming card.

it is I had so much trouble trying to run 8k with 4 titan xp cards and going back to just 1 strong card and sticking at 4k or below is a walk in the park its nice and I don't have to worry about the heat but another thing is the resale value will be higher on this card compared to 1080ti and titan xp so thats a hell ya in my book thumb.gif

Now if you actually have a use for the capabilities of this card, then it is probably a good deal. But comparing it to a gaming card like a 1080Ti is just laughable.

Edit: If you were just being sarcastic then I apologize.

I would amend to say that if you are wealthy enough that $3k doesn't really matter to you then, sure, knock yourself out. The Titan V is definitely the most powerful card (even just for gaming) that money can buy right now and I don't begrudge those who do have the means in getting them at all. Obviously the 1080Ti is a far, far better buy (or better yet two of them) for gaming since it is still up to 100+% the performance of the V but at a quarter of the price, but I think all of us would buy Titan V's if money was no object (if we are being honest with ourselves).

Alas, I simply could not even contemplate spending $3k on a single video card these days, and I especially wouldn't even consider it when I can get a couple of 1080Ti's that will destroy a V for half the price.

If games where 4x better I would pay 4x more for a GPU. There are no games worth spending that kind of money for a GPU these days.
