These are still the crap early benches which were wrong. YOu can check teh Timespy Hall of fame and see that Titan Vs are between 13500 and 14600 and not 12500. People just recycle this stupid reddit post from saturday in better looking excel tables.

Any Firestrike results, though? Can't remember the last game I tried that was DX12.

Titan V - Graphics Score FS Ultra - 8 720

Clock: 1987Mhz

Titan Xp - Graphics Score FS Ultra - 8 795

Clock: 2130Mhz

Looks like DX12 is where a lot of the gains are being seen thus far, that and the TITAN V is tapping out on the power limit. Best of luck removing that quickly, though

These are the real results:

https://www.3dmark.com/hall-of-fame-2/fire+strike+3dmark+score+ultra+preset/version+1.1/1+gpu

So the V under air competes with 2600 MHZ LN2 Tis/Xps

Does it? From where I'm looking it's marginally faster than a TXp on ambient @ 2100

Maybe @Menthol can confirm the clocks used here. Pretty sure he's on ambient.

If ‘GV102’ has significantly more performance over GV100 for games, they will release a new Titan. And unless driver improvements make GV100 50-60% better than GP102, GV102 needs more FP32 cores than GV100 to maintain the same generational improvements we are used to seeing from Nvidia.

I agree with you, a 600mm Volta or Ampere gpu specifically dedicated to FP32 cores without Tensor cores and FP64 units would be same as Titan V or even much better.

I don't know is Nvidia going to change architectural plans but we need something for GeForce cards without those Tensor cores and FP64 units. For those who can't realize how much space had been taken by those units, check here:

and Pascal:

It been said many times the TENSOR cores in the diagram is exaggerated and it doesn't take much as much die space as you would expect.

If you scale up P100, which doesnt have any TENSOR cores by 40%, you will get around the same die size as V100. Similarity if you take the transistor count of P100 and scale up by 40%, you will also get the expected transistor counts of V100.

Process node always strictly adhered to transistor per mm^2, and that itself show you TENSOR cores die space is literally non-existence.

I agree Firestrike Ultra is not that great % wise. Also the V results vary a lot. We have betweetn 6800 and 8720 GPU score. My Titan X (no p) under water in custom loop max oc 7585.

So Iguess people dont use Afterburner and you have to open power limit to 120 and put the stock blower to 100% to get good results. Pretty similar to the Titan Pascal too. Without watercooling it throttles quickly if you dont put the blower on carrier noise.

Tonight we wills ee GamersNexus results. As he knows what hes doing I think tehy will be reliable.

My prediction is 8700 under water is a achievable result oc on most chips with some getting close to 9000. Thats only 15% while some other benches show 30% plus.
