Elgato not working with X370 x1 PCIe?

I built a new streaming PC with a Ryzen 1700X running on an ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X mobo. The PC does not recognize my Elgato HD60 Pro when inserted into any of the x1 PCIe slots, but does when I use the x16/x8 GPU slots. I've tried other PCIe cards in the x1 slots (a LAN adapter for example) and they work without trouble.

Is there some limitation with this platform that I'm not aware of? Should I contact ASRock? Get a different motherboard?

Thanks for any insight.

Elgato cards has always had there share of issues. Even though it says it works with x1 pcie, I'm not 100% sure that is the case. I had the same issue until I moved it to another slot(x99 and Z87).

Not to mention Elgato drivers are not the best, half the time it refuses to pick up a signal for me. Any time MS updates there OS it screws up Elgato drivers, Which sometimes elgato never fixes.

Also heard Ryzen has issues with the card, your not the first person who had Ryzen and elgato refuses to work.

Not really an answer to your question, I would E-mail Elgato and see if they can help.

Yeah I just talked with Elgato and apparently the original revision of the HD60 Pro doesn't play nice AM4 x1 slots. They are replacing my card. thumb.gif
