As the title said Upgrade to Razer Chroma V2 Orange switches or stay with Logitech G710+ ?

I dont like noisy keyboards and I also need the keyboard for both coding and gaming so I bought G710+ with brown switches from about 3 years but I am looking now into Razer Chroma V2 Orange switches so what you think worth the upgrade or no difference and better stay with G710+ ?

BTW: I type alot.

I would say it's a side-grade, either one isn't really better than the other. I would go with whichever you prefer.

The Razer Chrome V2 with Orange switches is $130(ish) on Amazon, If you don't need things like RGB lighting and dedicated Macro keys I would recommend you spend that money on something like a Leopold with PBT keycaps. Minus the options, it is built much better and will last a lot longer. Because the keys are PBT, they will never fade or shine and will feel a lot better to type on compared to thin ABS keycaps that the Razer uses.

Again, it's mainly personal preference on what you want out of your keyboard.

PBT and ABS are the types of plastic they use to make keycaps.

ABS are typically the most common. It is a softer plastic and less prone to warping so a lot of manufacturers use it because it's easier and cheaper. The only issue is that sometimes ABS keycaps are super thin, flimsy and will always fade and shine over time with use. Shine-thru keycaps are almost always ABS.

PBT is stronger but harder to work within the molding phase, but typically they are much thicker types of keycaps and have a slightly different feel to them. PBT will also never fade or shine so your keycaps will always look and feel the same with use.

.

The Leopold will still be on your desk working 100% 24/7 if need be. The Razer keyboard will break before time and it will never last as long as any Leopold Keyboard.
