I'm building my first serious top of the line PC and I'm having a hell of a time figuring out the cpu cooler clearance. Parts are as follows:

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro M
CPU: 8700k
Mobo: Asrock Extreme4
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) F4-3000C15D-16GVKB
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce 3 1080
Cooler: Scythe Fuma Rev.b

I purchased all of this stuff before I learned about ram clearance, does this setup look good to go? Hoping I get lucky here

If you go to the website for the manufacturer of the cpu cooler (scythe) it will list dimensions.

Likewise the ram, if you search you will find its actual height.

If you are building this pc yourself, searching is a good skill to have.

Seems like a pretty well balanced out computer build. Complement it with an SSD

Ripjawz V are 42mm tall
42mm tall RAM stands 37mm above top of CPU / bottom of cooler
RAM sockets are about 50-55mm from center of CPU, so RAM will be in front of cooler finpack and about 2mm above bottom of finpack, meaning front fan will be over RAM.

Enthoo Pro M has 190mm CPU clearance so fan will fit no problem.

Here is Scythe Fuma dimensions.

G.skill ripjaw V are 42mm tall.

Here are the dimensions for the fuma.

The front edge of the heatsink is 53mm from center of socket. Which means that the fan will be above the memory. At the default position, there is 35mm from the bottom of the fan to the top of the cpu socket.

So, it should just fit over memory, and even if you need to move the fan up a hair, you have the clearance in the case for 194mm coolers, so no clearance issues there.

As long as you have 69mm from the center of the socket to the gpu, or top PCIE device, you are in the clear.

Edit: doyll beat me to it while I was grabbing info...

LOL, I have all the info filed for quick reference

Nearest PCIe soket is PCIe x1 and it is 69mm center of CPU socket to near side.
Nearest x16 PCIe is a little over 91mm from center of CPU socket

Can you spot the oxymoron?

You can nitpick about several of the components not being "top of the line." Suggesting ASRock doesn't make top-of-the-line products is a bit myopic.
