I'm new to the overclocking scene, and I am interested in building a computer that will allow me to play with my CPU settings so that I can see what kind of potential the computer will have. So far these are the parts that I have ordered and I'm going to get and will be working with:

AMD Phenom II 940 x4 @ 3 GHz CPU (non BE)
ASUS M3N-HD/HDMI mobo
Geforce 9600 GS 192 BIT 768 MB GPU
Linkworld 550 watt ATX PSU model-LPK 12 35
4x 2GB PC2-8500 DDR2 ram @ 1066 MHz

Just so you know, I won't be into any Extreme Gaming or anything like that. I just want a slick computer that will handle my everyday Computing needs and to be able to push it a little faster so that I can run video software and render faster. I like Windows 10 as the OS, but I'm open to suggestions for what will work best for what I'm wanting to use the set up for. I have yet to do the research on the BIOS for this motherboard, but I'm under the impression that I can adjust clock settings for the CPU with what's on it. So any suggestions or help would be appreciated in regards to the settings and things of that nature. I will not be too concerned with CPU temperature because I'm not wanting to overclock the CPU to the point to where it overheats. I would like to get 3.5 gigahertz at most if possible. I do know the CPU I bought can be pushed to 3.8 gigahertz. Thanks for any suggestions and or help, and it's nice to meet everyone.
