I just went through OCing my GTX 1070 and saw core clock speeds peak at 2076MHz with Heaven Bench, but when I ran Cinebench my score went from 117fps stock to 81fps OC.
When I watch GPU stats with HWiNFO running Cinebench, clock speeds don't peak higher than 1633MHz.
Has anybody had similar issues? Is there a way to get an accurat tests from Cinebench?
I don't know, my temp is at 40C, the fans don't even kick on.
Did a restart, reset MSI afterburner and got 114fps.
Reapplied OC settings went down to 106fps and saw clock speed reduced to ~1400MHz.
Did an OS restart and disabled afterburner, got 117fps again. Peak clock speed is still 1633MHz, I guess that's how Cinebench runs it I just never noticed before.
Still, I think afterburner messes with Cinebench somehow.
So I ditched Cinebench, it kept giving me different results, very inconsistent. I was able to find a benchmark program for Redshift which is a GPU renderer that I plan on using for 3D animation.
At stock I got 15m33s and OC 2114MHz(clock) 4404MHz(mem) it was 14m27s. So that's about an 8% increase in performance.
