After bios update for LGA 775 mobo, the realtek lan 8101E is not working. Having to use a USB WIFI for now. Tried restoring windows, uninstalling, reinstalling, safe mode. Still the adapter is in Code (10). Not responding, not working. It shows up in Device Manager, but in the network settings, its not there. using Win 7 32 bit.
Great glad you solved it surprised it even allowed you to flash the wrong bios usually there are checks in place maybe it was a similar model or something.
Lucky they were similar models and you didn't brick your motherboard that would be a tough one to explain when getting warranty replacement.
