Recently I was wonder more and more about Razer Abyssus V2 and their perfomance in game. As a CSGO player, and old 1.6 i've spent around 5-6k hours in both games. Starting with CSGO i've tested lots of mices to find the one that suits me best. In 1.6 i uses IE 3.0 wich i remember as perfect mouse with superb sensor. But now it has to be changed to play with a smaller mouse. So far the best one is mentioned Abyssus. I love this mouse mostly cuz the shape and decent cable. Shape is my main factor, but it still im wondering because of mice's sensor perfomance.
Mices that i've tested:
DA (2013, Chroma, Elite) - way too big, 2013/Chroma has lovely sensor
GPRO - terrible cable and bad shape ( / \ )
G402 - right sidegrip was painfull to hold after few hours
Zowie EC2-A - my previous main mouse in CSGO, used to play very well but in the end quite too big and limiting my wrist movement during the game. I couldn't keep it straight
Scream One - good shape but too long and overall QC and terrible cable
DM1 PROS - too wide and bulky, weird sensor feeling and cable
My game movement and aiming is based of my wrist and i mostly use claw - fingertip grip depends of the situaion.
So what do you think about this mouse overall and is there any good replecement for that?
I have honestly not tried any of the Abyssus' so i'm going to refrain from commenting about its performance. Though i've been eyeing the V2 Abyssus for quite a while as well.
Anyway if you think the EC2 is too big then i'd recommend you to try a Zowie ZA13, maybe that's something for you.
Other than that maybe give the FK2 (Which in my opinion feels much smaller than it actually is) or Nixeus Revel a go, Rival 110 could also be an option.
I currently use the Abyssus v2 at work. As far as my personal opinion on the mouse:
- Shape: Great and the best thing about this mouse. Can easily adjust my grip on the fly and remain comfortable.
- Weight: Pretty lightweight. 80 something grams. Removable weight inside. Coming from a Deathadder 3.5g and ie 3.0 took some time but i think it was worth it.
- Sensor: This is where things get complicated. The sensor is decent. I personally haven't had any problems with it during lunch-break gaming (some pubg, overwatch, qc or starcraft) and desktop use. Some people said that it feels kind of "floaty" . Maybe i'm just too inexperienced but I don't think it is unresponsive in any way. I cannot predict your experience but with time i think you will adjust to it even if it feels off at first.
- Others: cable is very nice, mousefeet are crap, sidegrips are ok (for me);
In conclusion, i think the mouse is more than decent. Get it , give it some time.
If you liked the length of the G Pro, but not the V-esque shape, then the Abyssus could be a good option. It's more straight, more stable, yet retains that small length.
I'd be using it if a 3360 variant existed (and Razer drivers don't pull any stunts like they did on the older 3G and 3.5G mice).
Zowie FK2 will feel thinner in the middle (and rear) than the Nixeus Revel or dreammachine mice.
It's a decent mouse, but I'd recommend the Ninox Venator over it. Just as light, better sensor, and more leeway for a variety of grip-styles and hand sizes imo.

The venator whilst a very good mouse is more narrow and not overly similar shape-wise. I personally couldn't really maintain a claw grip that easily though still something to consider. Edit: nevermind, thought the V2 was the refresh of the original, that's the jugan im thinking of.
I have a Razer Absyssus V2. While the shape is amazing for fingertip grip and you have so much control over it, the sensor really lags behind the competition. To the point you notice your performance being affected by it. It has a lot of smoothing, easily noticeable.
That´s my personal opinion. Also I think it is too expensive for what it is. Idk why Razer doesn´t put their 3389 on Abyssus, whatever.
Maybe check out the new Minos X5? Sorta looks like an Abyssus, with steeper curves.
Been using mine a couple days, and I like it. 19cm hands, fingertip/semi-claw. Responsive 3360 sensor. Nice mousewheel. Steep curves feel a little weird on my ring finger at first; maybe I'll get used to it over time.
Also, I loved the Torq X5 when I had it (had to return it because of a defective wheel). One of the best mice I ever used. You might not be a fan though, since you don't like the egg shape of the G Pro. But G Pro and Torq X5 aren't exactly the same, so you might still like it.
Thanks for the replies! Really that helps me a lot to figure out this thing. Sorry for the late reply @Tempessst I changed the mousefeet by buying the corepad one. They perfom really well. @Neshy414@CorruptBE We ll see how FK2 feels so far its really good @Maximillion Promissing mouse, but it's hard to get the one in my case. Just Amazon or Maxgaming and shipment to my country. @Notty Yeah that's sucks so much cuz this mouse can be easily the tier 1 of the smaller mices specially with the background of Quake scene ;/ @Staticks never heard about this mouse but looks very nice. Maybe some day but i hope that i wont change the mouse anymore
After spending more time with this mouse i realized how much this sensor needs a upgrade. It's still great mouse like u mention, shape > all. But in the end i notice it's really hard to make fast flick on point. I mean u can do this, pretty consistent but its always this kinda feeling like "moving on ice". Im just to afraid that ll cost the muscle memory training process. You just can't get used to that sensor, everyday it's feels kinda different That's why i started to play with EC2-A. Sensor feels good, and then i get to test the FK2 (white edition). After two days, around 8-10 hours of playing and so far the mouse is doing great. Feeling is different comparing to shape of abyssus, it's much easier to track with abyssus shape but otherwsie FK2 its more suitible to my hand. FK2 it's longer but thinner so it's not filling my "lower part of hand during the claw/fingertip grip" ( sorry guys ang its not my main lang). That's solving my main issue with sensei shape and big hump. So i guess it's just matter of time to get used to it.
Acautally im suprised cuz everyone says that FK2 has terrible M1/M2. For me they are really crispy and resposnsive. In my opinion way better than ormon's switches in DM or FM.
Yeah i don't mind the button stiffness of the FK's and ZA's either, it's the mousewheel of the Zowie Benq line that keeps them from getting into 'daily' territory for me. Browsing just sucks with them, so i just use my ZA11 as a dedicated FPS mouse, and use something else for casual use instead.
Anyway, if you've got an issue with big mouse humps then forget my earlier suggestion of trying the ZA13 as that mouse sure as hell has one.
Sooo I've tested ZA13 and FK2. Both of this mices seems to be nice but there was always a moment when i just switched back to Abyssuss. Then everything just works fine. Aiming feels so natural, even with that crappy sensor. That's why i decied to give a shot to @Maximillion (thank you ) advice and bought a Ninox from Amazon. I got the international package after two days
Unboxed, plugged, no warmup just simple without vol hsmod deathmatch (test of 100 kills ratio) and i've already knew that this shape and overall is so flawless than finally i solved my abysuss's problem. The QC is very good (black version). Comparing to Finalmouse or Dream Machines it's just like the high-end product. Side buttons not so good, but i don't use it at all.
Next stop it's the aim botz challenge to beat my personal record and test it in some PUGS.
