Im still waiting on the Release of the Define R6 Blackout here in canada but im sure it will be here around March.

Here is a couple things i picked up this week to go into my new build!

#5 ·
Finally Newegg.ca opened preorders for the Define R6 TG Blackout, so just got to wait on that to release, in the meantime I should have some more goodies arriving in the next week or two!

Any updates?

I just sent a my 4790k and a buddies to be delidded at a friends, should have more pics up soon, still need to decide if im going hard tubing or soft tubing before I order fittings.

#10 ·
What kind of bins are these two? I had a 4.7GHz that ran at 1.31v and can push 2666MHz-1T all day long. For gaming, I was able to run it at 4.9GHz with 1.4v and same RAM speed. It was mighty for 4c/8t, in terms of sheer clock speed.

#11 ·
Honestly never pushed mine past 4.6Ghz daily as I never had proper cooling to run at 4.8Ghz , only ever used EVGA mITX cooler and 120m AIO..

This loop with the delid should help me test the limits, and I’m not to sure how hard my buddies pushed his chip yet.

Couple more pics of the delid process

Hey guys sorry for the lack of build updates, been waiting for the case to become available so the builds been in limbo. Good news tho my case shipped out last night and it should arrive next week.

I might be selling my EK-XLC Predator 360 if I can find a buyer, and just buying a EK PE360 Rad along with a tube res, even tho I been eyeing the Phanteks Glacier R220 Res/Pump combo but its not available in Canada yet..

Well I finally got my Define R6 TG Blackout Edition and I couldn't be happy with the build quality for this case! I started to install my used EK-Mosfet for my Mobo but decided to order brand new thermal pads which should be here by the end of the week for a lot more updates.

After test fitting the EKWB EK-XLC Predator 360, ive decided thats not the route I want to take and will be ordering a PE360 and Pump/Res combo soon.

Here is a couple pics of the sexy case.

#15 ·
So today I ordered a bunch of stuff to pretty much complete my build, just have to order fittings next week after I put my build together to decide on all the fittings I need

Monday or Tuesday I should receive
- EKWB PE360
- EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 + EK-RES X3 - TUBE 250 Upgrade
- Mayhems Ultra Clear Tubing

this long ass wait finally coming to an end, not to much longer before this start to look like a completed build!

Ive received some more parts for the build and ended up finally installing my EK-Mosfet-M7G, very happy with how it looks installed.. just need a couple washers to install my EK Supremacy Evo Block.. Still waiting on the pump and res to arrive!

#17 · (Edited)
EK Supremacy Evo and Corsair Dominator Platinum Ram Installed! Now time to start wiring this case up and start test fitting everything.

#18 · (Edited)
He is most the main components installed, and wired up, just waiting on the res/pump so I can test fit all the rads and order the fittings needed. Loving this Build so far!

My Res/Pump Arrived!

#20 · (Edited)
Got most my water-cooling stuff installed but ended up running into clearance issues with the 280 rad with fans installed, which won't clear my ram and leave enough room install a fitting on my mosfit.

#21 ·
Removed the 280 rad and did some measuring and it looks like changing to a se240 rad with 120mm fans should fix all the clearance issues with the mosfet and ram.

minor set back hopefully I can sell the 280 rad and fans quickly so I can buy the replacements along with the fittings and some LED lighting so I can finally get her up and running!

#22 ·
Got annoyed of the pics being "attachments" at the bottom of each post and murdering the quality so I created a imgur account and updated all the previous post so all the pics should look much better!

#23 ·
Well I finished up designing my tube runs for my build, I think this route is the cleanest out the available options I been looking at. Probably ordering fittings tomorrow!

#24 ·
Ordered EK SE240 Rad, Fans and Fittings this morning, so next week should be close to completion, just have to order fan cable extensions and splitters along with some LED lighting.

:thumb:

Subbed also, You're using the exact same coolant and case that I plan to use for my next upcoming build.

Cant wait for the end result :thumb:
Im just waiting on the compression fitting to arrive in the mail and then this build is complete!
