Does anyone know how its actually going down? Does anyone have actual concrete evidence that disabling auto updates will do the trick? Is everyone positive microsoft isnt going to come in through some backdoor to force the update?

So shoudl i just tell them to turn of auto update and that'll fix it? I dont want 10 people runnen to me crying "my xp wont work my xp wont work" seeing as how when anything goes wrong in this damn town, im the first one that gets to find out.

Put it this way. If they have SP1 installed there should be nothing wrong with installing SP2.
