Anyway, I was running at up to 45-50 degrees idle, sometimes 70 load (if I let it!) according to Coretemp and TAT, but Speedfan was 32-36 idle, 50-52 load. That was with stock cooling and stock clocks on my entire rig.
Now I've cleaned my e4300 with some alcohol and cotton swabs, and installed my new Zalman 9700LED with the Thermal gunk supplied, and TAT and Coretemp are now saying 43-45 idle, 60-65 load, and Speedfan is showing 45-50 load.
Now I think I've realized that maybe I can rest easy and rely on Speedfan as I can't really see my Zalman not being able to cool a mild overclock, even though it is freshly installed. You guys think that's a good call? I don't want to falsly believe my temps were lower than they actually were, so I went with the worst case scenario of Coretemp and TAT.
Tat Does not properly display temps for E4X00 series chips, its off by about 15C. It has to do with TAT reading Tjunctions and reading it off @ 100C vice the 85C. Thus the 15 C delta btwn TAT and speedfan, since speedfan reads Tcase. So you can either subtract 15C from tat or simply go by speedfan readings.
How do I find out if I got a good e4300? I wrote down the numbers on the IHS (Is that what it's called?), maybe someone can tell me something about it? Here's the only two numbers that looked to mean anything :

Unfortunately no one has had any experience with your week here on OCN. But to help predict what is or isn't holding you back perhaps you could give us the vCORE vFSB/MCH ect ect your running. Often times people are more concerned with temps than they are Voltages.
So what I would recommend is trying to stay under 62C load and not exceed 1.45 vCORE. Push your overall frequency until one of those two parameters are met.
