Or just take a cloth and wipe it off. Like a shirt or towel that doesnt leave behind little fibers. I like to do the bb size

yea...i cover entire surface.....dahhhhhhhhhhhhh...am taking off and re appling....should i clean off top of chip too???

clean the surface of the HS and the top of the chip, be very careful to maek sure that the alcohol does hot hit anything but the surfaces that the AS5 was applied to.

you can't spell that "I" word either?

Back on topic.. You should be able to use a Q-tip and put some alcohol on it to remove the thermal compound.

yes and then use a credit card or razor blade to spread the rice size dab of as5 over the cpu surface in a thin smooth layer
