I'm pretty sure the 1500MHz FSB is a type-o. The stock FSB for the E6600 (with a multiplier of 9x) should be around 267MHz I think (267*9=2.4GHz). Start slowly from 267MHz.

You have the same board as me basically. Here look at the Pics so you know what to do. Oh for the last one You need to update the BIOS first to v 2.10 you can do it in windows just use your msi update software.
In this one "Advanced BIOS Features" "CPU Feature" press F4 to get the C1E Support option
Attachment 46248

In this one "Integrated Peripherals"
Attachment 46249

In this one "PnP/PCI Configurations"
Attachment 46250

In this one "Cell Menu"
Attachment 46251

In this one "Cell Menu" scroll to bottom "Spread Spectrum Configuration"
Attachment 46252

Okay, I see. Then I guess I don't understand your mobo. How is the FSB 1500MHz, with a multiplier of 9x? What does FSB mean on your mobo? Because it should be 266MHz for the E6600, right? I'm just curious.

Good that someone that has the same mobo can help this guy out. I'm giving you +1 rep for that!

Hmm...I guess I...still don't get it. I'm used to thinking about it in terms of mobo's FSB*cpu multiplier=cpu speed. But this isn't the case? I understand that the newer C2D's support a 1066FSB, but I don't see how this correlates to the normal FSB we'd usually use to figure out the overall CPU frequency. I guess I have some reading to do...

I dont care about figureing that out in my head. That all show's in CPU-Z. I run at 3.4GHz rounded. 3.37GHz to be exact.

The CPU dont support upto 1066 the motherboard has to be able to support what the CPU is. See what I mean.

For instance our board will support 1333 CPU's also but that's at stock speeds not in OC speeds.
