It is a celeron 2.0 Ghz
Ok, I would have already bought it, but my dad is reluctant for me to spend money on that.
Edit: The reason I thought of temperature instability is...
1: The fan was running on it all the time.
2: It wouldn't install windows, but it would install the 1 disk linux's. Windows senses temperature, and the longer linux installs are probably a sign of not being able to take the heat. Because the setups would run fast at first, then slower, and slower, and stopped.
3: When trying to backup the computer when my grandpa still had it, I was forced to wait 10 minutes with the computer off before reloading the computer with a BSOD. Or else it wouldn't reach the welcome screen.
4: This computer seems to have a history of thermal issues, as I found several tutorials on fixing it.
The tutorial I used to dissassemble it:http://www.danandsherree.com/2005/04...nspiron_11.php
