Will be sacrificing my Linux install on my second SSD to go alongside W10 on my daily driver so I can submit some scores other than the W10 allowed benchmarks.

This benchmarking bug has stung me real good. I like it even more than playing video games biggrin.gif

B-die was a leap forward from E-die because of the drastically lower tRCD-tRP. But to run those timings (12-12-12 usually), you need to limit your OS memory to 2GB or less. If not, you'll get a blue screen as soon as you try to load OS with 12-12-12 @ around 3600Mhz or higher speeds. There are some sticks that don't need it, but they are pretty rare.

So yeah, goto msconfig & limit the OS memory if you want to run B-die tight. For XTU, you can get away with 1.5GB maxmem or even less, because the benchmark doenst have a large memory footprint.

Also, unless you have a 2 DIMM board, you might need Command Rate = 2T @ 3866Mhz or higher freq.

Yes.
No need to spend all that money though.
Samsung DDR4 behaves in a way that, the XMP spec has no implications of the kits performance at 1.9V & tight timings. All bins have the same chance. The only thing the higher speed bins would get you is maybe a higher freq headroom for memory freq validations.

Go with a lower bin, save some money. wink.gif

Hi there!

Im from Chile, but I came with some HW points smile.gif. Looking forward to keep benchmarking and have a talk with some members. It seems the climate here is very good. Have done business with some ranked members smile.gif. Most of my time was at HW Bot, but not long ago I started coming here more often.

Regards
