Yeah, not so sure how i feel about how they calculate stuff. I noticed things like no workstation hardware. Does this mean like my SR2 is not allowed? Also, they seem to encourage people benching the same hardware and benches that are popular. Wouldn't that make it more focused on certain hardware and benches and leave the rest empty? Like i noticed they don't give points for Timespy which i assume is because its so new. However i also don't see things like Unigine Valley either. Just more an observation than anything.

For most benches you can earn hardware points, especially with really obscure hardware it's easy to gather points.
The more popular/submissions with particular hardware the more points you can accumulate.
It's fair, as in, if you would only be able to gather points from being the best with a single GPU on fire strike, only the ones with the big fat wallet could battle for points.
With hardware points it's possible to gather points for everyone! thumb.gif

I believe workstation hardware is allowed, at least in some benchmarks.

http://hwbot.org/submission/3272685_dhenzjhen_gpupi___1b_4_tesla_m40_2sec_398ms

This would qualify as workstation hardware (correct me if I'm wrong though)

As for Time Spy, if it becomes the default DX12 benchmark you will be able to gather points. Time will tell!

Thank you for your reply. I am still a rookie looking for LED flashlight fluid. wink.gif

I don't expect to amass points but i do plan to have fun!

If anyone has a chilled loop or normal loop and has use for 2 FC 480 blocks I have a couple that came on cards I bought but have no use for and would be willing to give them to someone for the price of shipping($11 in the US)

Edit: These have been claimed.

Hey guys...a buddy of mine gave me his old system. It's an i7 860 CPU on an LGA 775 board. I've gonna install a stripped W7 OS and dual boot it with an XP one as well. Are there any particular mobos that work better with this chip than what most 'pre-made' systems offer? His old HDD is dead, so I'll just pop in my old PNY 120 GB SSD. Reformat, install the OS's and limit it to air cooling at first, then switch over to water at a later time. Suggestions? It will have 8 GB (4 x 2gb) 1333 MHz ram. I'll have to power it up to get any other info on it.

Bought a 6700k that does 4.8 on air. Can't wait to play with it.
Also I'm thinking of buying a Titan X Pascal.

Boots 5Ghz on 1.45vcore. Isn't benchmark stable yet. Temps where high though, need to delid it and replace the TIM. Then hopefully I can bounce the voltage up a bit more. thumb.gif
