Overclock.net HWbot Team - Page 482

I think I'll b switching to OCN (if you take me in) to try it out since I have no real connection to my current team other then geolocation (Team Hungary). No forum, no discussions (or maybe there is on some unofficial forum). This community on the other hand helped me in all of my issues and if I can I'd like to give back some to the community.

Is there any reason for me to join the OCN team if I'm not going to break any OC records any time soon (or ever)? I see it has quite alot of members, most of them inactive.

Can't say no to that invitation smile.gif I've seen a few familiar faces in the recent submissions.

I won't be winning competitions for you, maybe I'll even drag the average scores down. I still have alot to learn but with my current setup (mostly my GPU and cooling) I think I pretty much reached the maximum. Maybe there's a 1-2% performance hiding somewhere.

Don't worry about it too much, just bench what you like. biggrin.gif

I mean I mainly do old school stuff with Pentium II's, III's & 4's or old gpu's. Not a huge amount of points there but taking an old celeron and going from 2.4GHz to 4.8GHz+ is just good fun. devil.gif

Ditto .. I started here in the gpu cooling sections when we started putting clcs on gpus. I met a few of the guys and learned a lot .. passing that on is a priority of ours. Old school is a place where we need to pass on a lot of the tricks that have been forgotten and the old photos are not available . I found ocn to have a more open mind to clc mods when others thought they knew it all .. Some famous forums. We are always happy to have new members that help others. thumb.gif

About old school OC. I still remember the good old days when you pressed that TURBO button on the case and instant 2x performance. biggrin.gif

Btw, can anyone has any idea how did I managed to get 1644 points in XTU with 100.9 ref clock, 50 base and 46 cache ratio? I can't even get close to that anymore. On 100 ref, 50 base and 44x cache ratio I've got 1631. Now anything I try, all I get is 1572 points at the edge of the stability and 95°C peak temperatures. I'm on 7700K.

Not for nuthin but, I personally think that the HWB profile rule is pretty stinkin petty. It does NOT show that your team is helpful towards everybody as claimed.
I also had my profile removed long ago because I don't bench for OCN. Yet myself and my team have helped out quite a few on your team time and time again. Peaceful co-existence and correspondence is never a bad thing, especially in such a low participant hobby like this.

Does anyone experience GPUPI crash at the compilation stage? When I select CPU and hit OK the window closes. Works fine with OpenGL GPU and CUDA.

Log states:
Code:
Could not open file handle for loading options file!
Could not load options from file!

Relaunching, running as administrator or different settings are not helping. System is stable, even reverted to stock just to check.
HPET is enabled, Visual C++ installed (launched installer to repair just to be sure), OpenCL™ Runtime for Intel® Core™ and Intel® Xeon® Processors states that I have a newer version already installed.

For me window closes at start when not stable, usually when trying high batch/reduction size

I tried with different batch/reduction sizes as well. CPU should be stable, passed 8 hours or RB. While I did not run Prime95 for hours, only about 30 minutes, it did not find any errors either. I don't think it's stability problem, it should start at least and crash during workload.
