Hmm, perhaps. But my old Athlon ( I mean old, old. Like Xp Athlon 1500+) Never had any lag spikes and it used MCaffe as well.


@MGX no I mean I'll literally be doing pretty much nothing (or what should seem like nothing for this processor) And it'll jump up for no good reason.

Depending on how long ago that was, their whole program setup might have been different.

Well, I'd say try what grunion said about rolling back to an older GFX driver.

If no luck with that, try doing the Shields Up vulnerability tests to see how secure you are. Even if that doesn't end up being your problem, it is always nice to know what's vulnerable and how you can fix it. I personally only use ZoneAlarm Pro as a firewall and I come up as fully stealth in every test. Phenomenal piece of software.
