alright i got this sort of old rig that im using temporarily, its a Sempron 3100+ now i just got this pc up and running, after it was all set to go, i overclocked it to 2.0, just by changing the fsb from 200 to 230, it runs stable at core temps r at 33-34, im not a gamer but when i hav music playing, firefox and watch LOST from ABC lol, the temp is 35 . so there should be room left for some more overclocking but when i increased the fsb by 5 more(235) the pc became unstable. so i need help, i havent done any changes to the BIOS other than fsb

you might need a little more voltage

First of all up your HT multi so it's at bout 800Mhz you'll see a definite perf boost.

Next what is your RAM like and how are the timings (screenie?)

I don't thinks it's the voltage, since my sempron 3200+ clocks higher than my mobo allows at the moment (without any voltage adjustments)

Set your HTT multiplier to 4X and put your ram on a 166mhz divider! That should make all the difference

With a 754, his HTT is default to 4. He's currently at 3x though, which is safer.

Ram would have been my guess, and it has already been suggested to lower the ratio (the divider that shifty mentioned)
