This thread, in my opinion, is pointless as of right now. Just like with PSUs, even a great brand can make a really crappy product, and sometimes crappy brands make a few really great products. Referencing some 9700 Pro that you've owned for a thousand years is only a testament to the build quality of that 9700 Pro from XYZ company, not of the company overall.

Just buy one. You're heading out head-first into the dark right now, since these things are new. For all anyone knows these things combust randomly into flames after a month of use.

His , Sapphire aye! But powercolor NO! Had a powercolor x700 and the fan ceased up lol have been told that thats a common problem with powercolor ! Guess Asus are a good make, dont see many of there GFX Cards about any more? used to have a think it was a 9600 xt served me well could play HL 2 pretty good had **** cpu at the time tho was like a 1.5gig Sempy one of the first models of the chip aswell
