Hey,
No the NTLDR problem is still there but I've managed to keep my system running using a CD I created from a site specifically for the problem... it's apparently common, typical Windows!

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem long term? I am probably going to just put up with it until I get a new hard drive, I am thinking the 500gb Samsung because I've heard it is the quietest around. Any suggestions?

thanks again for the help guys
Atif

Ouch - so booting from CD each time?

Yeah, good to see you are thinking about the Samsung I recommended, its an amazing line of hard drives for sound

A new hard drive and fresh install should sort your problems easily...
