All computer monitors are HD. HD is technically a pixel density... not a resolution.

i always just think that hd is just anything above 800x600 really, because i play my xbox 360 at 1280x1024 on my 19inch monitor using vga (ms wont let us use 1440x900!) and it looks just as good as 1080i does on my mates hd lcd using the component.

Check my LCD Sizing FAQ. The 32" 720p TV is considered High Definition and has a pixel density of around 2399 per sqr in. That LCD has a pixel density of 8108 per sqr in. High Definition really is about how many pixels are on the screen for a given size.

800x600 would look horrible on a 60" TV. Why? Because of the pixels being so large that they would be noticable. Increase the pixel density, you also must increase resolution.

yeh i know, i meant anything above 800x600 ie 1280x1024 and 1024x768.
Also if uve got a 360 game with 4x aa then the pixels dont distort as bad even on bigger tv's
