I've done that on a couple of occasions... Just take a small flat head screwdriver and pop it off.

haha it happens, I would very very carefully try to slide it off, sometimes that works(thats what I have had to do a few times) then once you get it off clean it with the artic silver cleaner stuff, sorry dont recall the exact name of it. But carefully slide it off making sure you dont bend the pins and you will be fine.

try to gently twist it from side to side... put a hair dryer on the heatsink for a minute or so to warm it up a little when your doing it...

All the same over here

I always heat the heatsink so the "glue"gets soft and try to twist it of.

If your use a knife of flathead screwdriver, you obviously damage and scratch your heatsink (works perfect though)

Hairdryer for a few minutes on the heatsink and try the slide.. Done this many times unless it's some old style epoxy glue some used for awhile. I've also chipped the ceramic on a few P's in my day trying to pry.. Hairdryer heat first thing to try

Oh you gotta be carfule takin CPU's outta the socket, a friend of mine broke the socket pulling out the stock HSF.
Just pop it off like the others said, do it over carpet so it doesn't pop off and bend pins.
