BTW ... that mod dropped the zalman's load temps by 9 degrees.

I've since moved on to better things (mod'd infinity, also in my sig) ... but at the time, it was the best mod I'd ever done.

I mean, the 9500 was such a lame stock cooler; pretty ... but not very capable; the mod really transformed it.

oh man.. ouch! I had the fan in my XBOX go right up my fingernail once while feeling the cpu heatsink...OMG the pain!!!
Same thing happened to me when I was checking out my 80mm Panaflo case fan. The particular model I have spins at 3125RPMs and blows 39CFMs but is still very quiet at 32db. Anyway, I reached around the front of my case with my left hand to check the airflow and my middle finger went right into the fan. One of the blades went between my fingernail and my finger; lots of blood and pain plus a split fingernail. The pain was so bad that I began to feel dizzy a few seconds after I realized what had happened. At least it wasn't my TMD fan which has a lot of torque due to the motor design and spins at 5400RPMs.

I still remember the first time I got that Panaflo, I had no idea that the thin blades would be "that" sharp while the fan was running and it sounded quiet enough to seem "innocent" so I stuck my right index finger into it. THWACK! and a second later, I'm looking at a bloody finger with a bit of skin missing.

Now I have "Beware of the Fans" signs inside my computer.
