That's an oxymoron.

I'll buy this anyday.. But not today since I have no money... THEN saying best performance which is a GTX. O>O So even if you had the money you would be buying a GTX because that is best performance.

"Best Performance For the Money". Not neccessary means the GTX. It could be midrange card.

Hopefully these 2900s turn out to be better than they look as of now, because I have a 580x crossfire motherboard, and i was planning on getting one of these for now and maybe going crossfire with another one later on

I feel sad, becasue ati can't make a card that can beat nvidia.
to use 2900XT to compete with 8800GTS,
maybe 2900XT is better,
but it uses so much more power.
For me, I only have 500watts, what can I choose?
definitely 8800GTS.

I bet not that many people own a 2 6pin power,
with 650watts or above
didn't not get a 8800GTX yet,
and interested to buy an 2900XT.

I feel really optimistic for the drive updates to see what kinda of performance increase they'll be. However, I'm totally blow away by the crossfire performance.

As of right now it would seem silly to buy R600, because if you just wait a bit you can get the 65nm (maybe 1 GB DDR4) card, which will overclock past GTX with driver updates, atleast imo

The percentage of people that buy the most expensive video card on the market is very small. The top tier is important, however, because it's where rumors and fanboys get their fuel from. I do find it funny to listen to someone with a Geforce4 complaining that Ati took too long to release their newest video card line

Seriously I think this card is very close to the GTX and definitely ahead the 640... both of which possess more rams.
