yep. A retail motherboard will have all the cables you need. And the video card will have a DVI/VGA adapter.

As long as it isnt a OEM motherboard or "Open Box" then it will come withthe IDE, Sata, etc cables

I'd probably buy in this order:

- RAM (it's dirt cheap now... not sure it's bottoming out, but I don't think it won't get any cheaper. Sticks I paid nearly $300 for now go for less than $150)
- Case
- PSU
- HDD
- DVD
- MoBo/CPU/Cooler

There is no used buying the mobo early, since you have to wait to mount it into the case until you have the CPU and cooler. I usually populate the motherboard with the CPU, RAM, and CPU cooler before I mount it into the case.

Yeah, there are some instructions. Also, poke around here on the forum for a guide or so

And once yuo get started, give us a yell. We'll be more than willing to help you out.

Don't worry. It really isn't that hard. Think of it as a big jig saw puzzle with only a few pieces.

It's really pretty straight forward, but I think most things comes with instructions.

RAM. video card, and cpu just pop into their respective slots. Hard drives and optical drives, all you have to do is connect the power and signal cables.

CPU coolers can be tricky depending on which you get, but those will definitely come with instructions.

If you're new to the game, applying thermal paste will probably be the hardest part. I would suggest practicing on something else first, or if you want to avoid the whole thing until your confidence builds look at getting an Artic Cooling Freezer Pro. They come with thermal paste on the base already and it's MX-1 (VERY high quality stuff, better than AS5 actually).

Just take your time, you'll get it figured out!

EDIT: the put-it-together list you mean. Sorry

GPU at the VERY end. It's the most volatile market I think, and in a month you might be able to afford better for the same price.
