Lost Planet/Bad News for XP users/Can you run It - Page 4

works fine here on Vista and XP, no problems,(when using the 101.02) make sure you have the latest complete *click* DX9/10
also i think the max resolution you can run Lost Planet on is based on your screens refresh rate setting, and desktop resolution, also in my experience Clone/dualview modus has an effect on the max resolution setting

You could always try to replace it in safe mode. The reason why it's saying that you don't have permission to replace it is becuase either:

A.) The file is being used

or

B.) The file is write protected

Try replaceing the file after booting your system into safe mode, though before you do this I would make sure that you're useing the latest graphics card drivers as older ones might not be refering to the library correctly.

i trieds replacing the file in safe mode, but i still dont have permission..
when i click rightmousebutton on it and select properties there is a security tab where i can check the permissions. it seems that i dont have permission to modify the file, only to view it. when i press Edit and try to give myself permission to modify it, i get an error saying access is denied...

For most people that have a 8800gtx and xp, the game usually crashes at or around the same spot everytime they play the demo. It seems to be because of the drivers, If you change to the 160.02 beta driver instead of the 158.22 drivers it will usually work fine, I can play it fine now. nzone has the beta drivers.
