ASUS P4SD-LA with Pentium 4HT processor not booting??

Thread Starter
I downloaded and installed CPUcool today and overclocked my processor to 3.12ghz from its stock 2.8ghz. At first I kept trying to boot and it was telling me it couldnt find a boot device and showed some weird characters.

Now whenever I connect the power and flip the switch on the back of the Power Supply the computer starts up and the fan starts spinning really fast. I get no video even though i can see the video card LED lights on (it has led lights built in for coolness factor). I have tried to clear the CMOS by changing the jumper and by taking out the battery. I have no idea why my computer wont boot now.

Any help at all would be nice. I have tried to do anything that was suggested on this site and other websites to no avail. I am in the process of trying to boot it with no other devices but I still get no video signal.

I'm pretty sure my problem is stemming from the BIOS. Whenever it resets to default it says the default video card is PCI.. I have an AGP card.

I have reset the CMOS by taking out the battery for a good 20 minutes and that didn't work so i tried to the jumper settings mentioned here: here
the computer still powers up without me having to press anything and I still get no video signal.

make sure the card is proparlly seated in the slot.

Also: if you have 2 video outpus plug your monitor into the other one (if you can). That changed alot for me (smile)

I am sure it has nothing to do with my video card, but i tried anyways and no beans. My system boots up without me pressing the power button now. That is what I am worried about. I am very proficient with hardware so I have tried any easy things that might have fixed it already.

lol can i please get someone older than 14 in here? Sorry buddy but shouldn't you be asleep at this time of night?

Update: The power button and reset button have no affect on the computer. I reseated my CPU and fan and the Video card and i still get no video. Let me plug my hard drive back in to see if it actually starts up.

No I am saying that from your earlier posts you do not have the technical expertise to help me with my problem.

My PSU and CPU and Video Card are all stable. Yet the computer just doesnt want to show me a screen even after I have reset the BIOS. And still what is up with the not responding to the reset or power button?
