No display fed to monitor after BIOS reset (Nvidia 6800)

Thread Starter
My computer is starting right when i connect power to it and not waiting for me to press the power button (which won't even shut down the machine nor will the reset button reset the machine). My BIOS settings are reset it still does it. I think the problem is when the BIOS is set to default it says the default video adapter is PCI (I am using an AGP card). I can't get a video signal to get into the BIOS and change this.

something probably just went haywire and the PSU is feeding power for startup as soon as the connection hits....i would try unplugging your cpu, mobo, etc. then plug in the PSU and see if it tries to boot..... if it does idk what to tell ya but if it doesnt then plug things in one by one and maybe u can find the problem.....gl man!

EDIT: can you get a card that uses PCI from a friend so u can use the vid signal to change the BIOS settings?

EDIT: for video signal, try unplugging your monitor from CPU and replugging....could just be a loose connection stopping the signal

OK so i tried my mobo first and right when i plug in the power back into the PSU from the power strip it tries to boot, and my video card makes a really high pitched noise unless I also plug in the 4 pin connector into that to give it power.

Update:
OK when i plug the PSU into JUST the mobo my reset and power buttons do nothing and I cant seem to get any power to come on. But then i plug my video card into the AGP slot and it does the squeaking thing unless I plug the 4 pin into it.

btw sorry for triple post just making sure everyone reads the updates.

Does your motherboard have onboard/integrated video?

If so, it does have integrated video. Plug your monitor in the onboard port. Boot into BIOS and disable onboard video. Problem solved.

nope it is the YALE mobo of that same type of motherboard.

there is the link to the motherboard I have. I do not know why my computer won't start up now without the video card in the slot.

Some BIOS do that. With no video card, the motherboard should produce a beep code that translates to "No graphics adapter". Nothing unusual about that.
