This Does Not Look Right....

I just wiped my harddrives and reinstalled a clean copy of windows xp, and when I ran HD Tach this is what I got.....this isin raid guys.

Where you running something else when running the benchmark? Did you wait until XP completed loading before running?

No idea what's going on here.... you had trouble before I remember, but this seems even worse.

One thing that keeps nagging me in your screenshots is that Norton thingy. Norton has the reputation of gobbling up massive resources. Maybe it interferes with HDTACH.

If you use Norton for Antivirus... get rid of it, and get a free package like Avast! or AVG.

Go to Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management.

Right click on your H: drive and select "Change Drive Letter and Path..."
