Up until now, one of the main drawbacks to the upcoming Windows Home Server was that the product was only going to be available on select, prebuilt systems from Integrated System Vendors (ISVs). Microsoft has apparently changed its mind on this score—one of the major announcements in Gates' keynote address at WINHEC today is the news that WHS will be directly available as an OEM product.

This would be great for me. I don't have the need or resources to buy Server 2003 but need a decent way to stream media on my network.

Windows Server 2008 is the name of the next server operating system from Microsoft. It is the successor to Windows Server 2003. It was known as codename Windows Server "Longhorn" until May 15, 2007, when Bill Gates announced its official title during his keynote address at WinHEC.
So I didn't put "Windows Server Longhorn".

Windows Vista = Longhorn first
