what would my mobo/cpu/ram/gfx worth?
It's not a possibility to sell right now, so i think an "real" appraysal is not needed,

the 8600GT is as fast as a 1950pro in DX9 games and prolly faster at DX10

sell your cpu and board on your local newsgroups and buy E6400 188$+ Gigabyte DS3 99$

Why? : the 965 chipset boards are very well known for reaching high fsb, this gigabyte board is fully loaded with anything you'll need, the e6400 is a renown overclocker and has a high multi of 8 just in case. If you want to go cheaper, get the E4300+DS3. the E4300 has a multi of 9 and preety much any board can max it out in overclocking...

then wait for the budget ATI DX10 cards. by that time, dx10 games will probly start coming out, and the nvidia humongous prices will have stabilized, or ati will have gotten better cards out. either way, if you're not getting an 8800gts (320 or 640) you're nto doing much of a gpu upgrade.

I upgraded from 7600gs to X1800xt 512mb and there was ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE.

Unless nvidia has done something drastically different with this generations #600 then it'll be like the rest of them (6600, 7600)... medium settings at best. You could always play it in DX9 mode maybe? They did say that DX10 would be an option right? But what's that like less than medium?

I don't make assumptions, I make educated guesses based on the information available to me. #600's are always the medium setting cards in my experience.

I see.
I think i'll stay for the mobo for now.
What's the best chipset to get , i'm really not into the 965 cause of lack of 1333 mhz fsb support.

http://www.techspot.com/review/43-as...sli/page4.htmlthen, (since you's like me), you like to have options for the future, try the P5N-E Sli. You have EVERYTHING you'll ever need. Quad ready, 1333mhz, sli (just in case) and the board overclocks like crazy! see here.

shop here. 87.99 OEM!!!!!! damn.. you can get the board AND the E4300 and still be within your budget.. lolz. Wish i lived in the states....

i don't live ther either.....
I can get both for 233.95€.
I think my mobo and cpu are worth that.
In reviews it's a good overclocking mobo, achieving 700/800mhz oc's, but i think my problem is my ram......

I would go with the 8600GTS if you downt have the money for a 8800 card.It is a good card and beats the all the 7900 card but not the 7900GTS/7950s.And the new Bata drivers added 300 pionts to my 3d mark 06 score is it will only get better.

PS heres some 3D mark 06 scores that i got off the net
GF 8600GTS (stock) 5556
GF 7600GS (stock) 2654
GF 7900GS (stock) 4945

Also it comes DX10 and new drives will for sure make it faster.(Remeber how much the 8800 sucked at first).
