Here's my overclocking project; maybe you can help...

Thread Starter
I overclocked the system, making minor adjustments as I went; each time watching the temperature very carefully without it ever going over 37C. The processor is a 1.86GHz and I pushed it little by little to 2.32; then 2.8, Vista froze afterwhich I turned if off and noticed that the BIOS had reset itself to the last known good configuration.

I know how to adjust the voltages in FSB, MCH, PCI, DDR, and VCORE, but not sure how to adjust the memory's speed or timing as I've been told to do.

Also, there's a beep (more like a short electronic whine) before the normal POST beep - it doesn't happen all the time, just from time to time. Is that an alarm?

My overclock settings below:
CPU CLock RAtio: 7 (multiplier)
CPU Host Frequency: 333 (FSB)
System MEmory Mutliplier: 2.00

DDR OverVoltage Control: +0.300V
PCI Overvoltage Control: +0.2V
FSB Overvoltage Control: +0.2V
G MCH Overvoltage Control: +0.2V
E6320 Voltage: 1.35

Any suggestions? Know how to adjust the memory timing?

- Kareem

Heyjoojoo:

Please go to edit profile and insert your system specifications. It will help all who try and help you (every machine is defferent)

To adjust timings, go into the chipset section of your bios. You should have options to manual adjust speed.

Also, why jump from 2.32 - 2.8 if you had the patience to go a little at a time. I didn't see anything on temps. MAKE SURE you monitor those.

Go here to edit system specs first..

Also if you can find an option to "unlink" the ram to your FSB, do so now..
