Not really. 3.0 - 3.2 is the usual limit on air. Those Quads run hotter than duals (more cores...)

Seriously! I'm in the same boat as you. My only gripe is that they haven't even made any real dual core enhanced games yet!

Though I will say that with the push that Intel is making in lowering the effective prices of their quad core CPU's along with the rock bottom prices of DDR2, the transition doesn't seem so painful anymore. I'll have to see how things are by the end of summer. So far the only game out now that even makes a real difference with quad core is Supreme Commander.

Ppl seem to get a little misled by Quad Core and it's benefits.

1: In order to have the same performance as for example: an E6600 @ 3.4Ghz in Single & Dual threaded applications and games you would need the same clockspeed on the Quad Core

2: You will see far greater performance benefits from a faster GPU than a Quad Core over your current CPU

3: They run rather hot and need watercooling to get the best out of them.

4: Crysis and Alan Wake sure do use 4 cores, but i can almost guarantee there will be no noticeable difference in frame rate from your CPU.

5: Quad Core is fantastic in things like Supreme Commander with 1000's of units on the screen driving 1920x1600+ resolutions with MAX everything.

Unless your doing No:5 don't bother
