Lost Planet a scary glimpse of what to come... - Page 2

you know I was playing this @ 1600x1200 with settings maxed out but frames were all over the place. then I dropped the AA to 4 and my FPS jumped from 19-25 to 32-75fps with the new 158.43 vista drivers...I beat the 1st level with no issues. maybe try these drivers.

Why step up to get a 8800 ULTRA? Bragging rights? It's just a OC'd version of the 8800GTX, which you can already get OC'd versions of the card as is.

True...I was talking to a microsoft rep about vista and he was saying & showing me different CPU's from p4-quad running vista with no issues but then showed me that nvidia is so far behind with thier driver for vista. He said out of all the companies they were having the toughest time with performance. They have been working day and night and can't seem to find the sweet spot. I know this mught be off topic but just throwing that out there.

To everyone that's having issues: there's an option called Concurrent Operations. Try setting that to 1 and see if that changes anything for anyone. Also, turning down shadow quality to medium seems to help as well.
