35c In Bios

Thread Starter
Hi Folks

My P5B reports the cpu temp at 35c when sitting in the bios. Is this abit high with a tuniq running at full speed? Should I re-apply the as5 and reseat the heatsink?

I have no os installed due to issues with my dvd rom so cant yet run tat or other such apps.

Thanks In Advance

I do believe that the BIOS puts load on the processor when looking at the temp.

35'C is not a bad temp at all.

Bios does put a load on the cpu but it varies from 50-100% depending on motherboard and cpu. Only way to really tell is try to get those loads in windows then see how much it took.

No, that temp is actually really low. You should expect ~38c at full load.

I found that in BIOS if i turned the fan up to full from half it doesn't make any difference in temps. So if you're thinking it's high it might be because your ambient temperature inside the case is high.

dont forget your bios is also reporting temps from an external sensor...ie not digital ones from the cores ... so temps are also always higher than what TAT , coretemp or even everest would report.
