Asus P5B-E +what to do....?

Hello...
I am new to overclocking and have to give my pc a kick up the backside. I have built my PC with the Asus P5B-E and intel core duo e2500 processor along with a 1Gig of ram which was top specs at 667 (or whatever the shop said in Tottenham Court Rd).
So I want to boost this system so that my plugins in my music software will run better as the CPU can get overloaded. I don't want to use AI Booster, so prefer to do it via the bios to avoid additional programmes running in windows.
So, anyone out there that has a similar system overclocked, please share what you did in the bios so that you can tweak to settings as currently they are greyed out.
Also, what do I have to consider with regards to calculations between Ram and cpu, and heat.....
Thanks so much in advance!!

Your system specs say O4B-e and E6400, and your post says P5B-E and E2500. Please clarify.

Next, about your question:

This review page told me you need to go to the Advanced tab -> JumperFree Configuration, and turn off AI Tuning so you can adjust everything manually.

And, ok, I can now change the cpu frequency. I am a little confused on this as when the cpu frequency is changed, so too does the dram frequency. With the parts I have on my system, is it safe to push these things up by much? How much can I push it up by at a time with a standard intel fan?

Ok... I have pushed that frequency up from 266 to 325 so far. Its max is 600, so I am going about this slowly!
Not sure how to push up the fans and voltage.... any suggestions?

How do I test for stability?
