yeah, aside from having DX10 compatability, I'm getting my 8800GTX so I can play every DX9 game (future and current) on max settings without a problem. Even though it may only be a mediocre DX10 card after a while, it still will handle any DX9 you throw at it. I'll be playing the Battlefields, Dawn of Wars, AoE's for a long time to come, regardless of the new eyecandy coming out.

You just can't go wrong with buying a 8800gts, especially the 320mb version that is significantly cheaper than it's closest competitor and performs pretty much on par while using less power and produces less heat.

If you're definitely not satisfied with your current gaming performance then it will be a good move. However, if you're satisfied you may be better waiting until there are games that you actually play that your card cannot play well. At that point it would definitely be worth it.

Medicore card after a while lol

I Doubt that....it will be sometime before anything comes along that can challenge a GTX
