someone forgot to get in the flame bunker here!
multi-core is the future, altho many of us would probably prefer otherwise, like have one big ass chip that would work at 5ghz with ddr10 and crap

From 1.90ghz to 3.20ghz on air? Quit dreaming, amd can barely brake the 3.0ghz overclock. 65nm didn't do anything for amd, unlike what it did for Intel in terms of overclocking.

IF there's one thing I know, it's that amd cpus can't brake 3.0ghz 24/7 stable, so please, keep your fanboyism to a minimum.

BTW, ATI is good at waiting what nVidia has and then after the released of nVidia's TOL card, ATI just releases something 2 or 3 months later better than what nVidia just released, it's typical of ATI, or at least was, that's why they take the time.

Just like when the GX2 came out but they try to make a fairy tale release of a x1950xtx with the first card ever to use GDDR4 but not that didn't help, so that pretty much stumped them.

And now, they're doing just that again, waiting to come out with something that'd be better than the current GTX but so far? Not good.

The r650 will be the "correct paper version thing of r600."

How much does that thing suck in?
Oh and how long did it take to get out?

Case and point.

Thats some pretty good overclocking right there.

It's delay reason:

If you still don't believe it look up some facts, not bias facts but actual facts from trusted reviews.
The card has immature drivers too, I'm sure you heard this a million times before, don't be a fanboy.
Yes it does lose in some tests but it's pretty awesome for the price.
Good background info, Malachor.

MGX1016 is typical of a lot of posters here lately. Trying to put words in people's mouths. (MGX1016, I know WHAT product I'm referring to. Don't try to 'correct' me, it's not your place to try to tell me what I'm thinking.).

The nVidiots all seem quite happy to disregard immature drivers as a hindrance to an otherwise promising card. This, at the same time their precious 8800 series STILL has driver issues. (Where's my digital brilliance and sharpness controls, nVidia??? How come it took not one, but TWO driver updates for you to manage to not give people headaches with ridiculously low sharpness out of the box???)

I'm really tired of the outright fanboyism, and general ignorance toward hard facts when discussing rival technologies around here, whether it be ATI vs. nVidia, AMD vs. Intel, Creative vs. the world, or what-have-you. Try to keep an open mind here, people, and stop throwing FUD around here like the :turd: it is.

Well, FUD sounds like turd, so I guess that is why people confuse it .

Requesting thread cleanup...

If I'm not mistaken, the 2900XT uses LESS power than the 8800GTX, not more. And it is faster.
