PS3 - VGA cable ?

Thread Starter
Hey there guys. Now its to my understanding that I could run a better resolution with my 15''LCD screen ( I know its only 15'' however my tv is only a 15'' and is an SDTV ) rather than my TV...Well thats obvious however is there a cable for this ?

As in

PS3>15''LCD

Cheers

Could you do something like, HDMI--> DVI, then DVI --> VGA?

Hmmm.... not sure. The PS3 has an HDMI output, right?

So you could try this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814998201

And then this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814999201

No guarantees it will work...
It's gonna be a bulk at the back of your PS3

(sorry about Newegg links).

Nice one. Hmm wait a second this may just sound dumb but will all the connections go properly .

HDMI-DVI-DVI-VGA-VGA monitor.

However the VGA plug on the end of my monitor is male...wait im confusing myself lol.

Also my other question is a 15'' monitor that can only go to 1024x768 CANT DO 720P can it ? , However will it still be an improvement over a TV ?

Cheers

No idea how it will work out with the resolution

I think we're running into gender issues here...

I can find HDMI to DVI male (so it can be plugged right into a monitor with a female DVI connector), but no DVI male to VGA female...

bugger lol. Yeah definately a gender issue and for 720p I have discovered I would need to use my 19'' lol.

Well I just wondered if it would work on the off chance.

Owel but thanks anyway Chozart
